Healthy lifestyle could prevent breast cancer

Almost half of all cases of breast cancer could be prevented if women have a healthy lifestyle. A new study may be, 20 000 British women to avoid the disease simply by eating better, drinking less and exercise more.

The World Cancer Research Fund recommends that you lose half an hour of exercise per day, limit alcohol intake to one drink per day and weight.

"It is very worrying that in Britain there are still tens of thousands of cases of breast cancer could be prevented every year," said Dr Rachel Thompson, the WCRF. "Breast cancer is by reducing consumption, to move more and carrying less body fat can be prevented.

The latest figures show that 47 600 women developed breast cancer in 2008, but the WCRF estimates that 42 percent of these cases could be prevented if women develop a healthy lifestyle.

The recommendations of the WCRF for the prevention of cancer are as thin as possible without being underweight, to keep in shape and limit consumption of fatty, salty and sweets and drinks.

The guidelines suggest eating more fruit, vegetables and legumes, less red meat, drink less alcohol units and a balanced diet than vitamin supplements to choose.

Some activists, however, is to support breast cancer to live healthier and more complex than simply may not be sufficient to prevent cancer. Rachel Greig of Breakthrough Breast Cancer warned that genetic and environmental factors all play a role.
